  INTRODUCTION

The siblings sit in the morning light dreading the task that demands its right. His possessions now to dissipate. The treasures soon to peruse. Will their memory, shorty abuse. They knew the man for all their life, they even know the woman the wife.  The clutter of all he held dear, their job it was to disappear. With a calloused heart the task begin.  This to the trash, and this to goodwill, set aside that worth a bill. The memories of a life well spent with hardly a thought into the trash they went. Their recollections unshakable, their opinions strong, soon would be shown to be so wrong. For in a dusty trunk long forgotten, tucked away in a corner begotten, by the boxes of stuff to be gone through yet. His true treasures are they yet to find.

The trunk uncovered the dust they swiped, the lock they break with a rusty knife. The lid they lift and peer in they did. Rifling through the memories hid. The moment comes to see the light. The knowledge of the man to be set right. The daughter grasps the worn binder with care as she settles in the man’s old chair. The son continues the search with distain, looking and thinking about what was in this man’s brain. She opens the binder worn so well, about to find his living hell. The thoughts and dreams, of memories sweet and long forgotten, of hugs and kisses that should have been, of the things he wished he would find. All wrapped up tightly never to be lost, kept hidden but at what cost. Read she does and soon she finds it is but a,

                The stories and thoughts written in time when the thoughts were troubled, or the mood sublime. His hidden life protected and safe no longer can be used to demean and berate. Wow! That guy sounds amazing. So, let me tell you who I really am. I’m Philip, and I’ve been writing stories since kindergarten. Now I didn’t say they were great stories back then. What I mean is I’ve always had stories just bubble up inside that had to get out.

This book “Collection from a Twisted mind” is a mix of self-standing short stories, and a bunch of those bubbles I was telling you about. What I tried to do is put it in some kind of order for you. The insights of the human condition (bubbles) that you read will get you ready for the short story that follows.

But hey, you be you, and if you want to read just the short stories and skip the rest, that’s cool. You have a great time with some good stories. On the other hand, if you read just the insights of the human conditions. Well then, you’ll go on a journey with a person’s self-awareness. Just a word of caution, emotions will happen. Ok, I told you how it’s meant to be read. It’s up to you to read it.
